چکیده

Purpose: The aim of study was to determine the relation vitamin D receptor gene (VDR) polymorphisms TaqI (rs731236), ApaI (rs7975232), BsmI (rs1544410), FokI (rs10735810) with risk obesity, metabolic syndrome and hepatosteatosis in children.Materials methods: 130 obese healthy children age range between 10-16 years included this study. Anthropometric measurements, biochemical evaluations abdominal USG all were done. Obese healty analyzed for most common VDR by restriction fragment length polymorphism’s technique. diagnosis made using International Diabetes Federation criteria. Results: Genotypic distribution BsmI, FokI, polymorphism found statistically different patients control group, but genotypic studied not or hepatosteotosis. Conclusion: (rs1544410) have a significant positive effect on development hepatosteatosis. Children who carry factors childhood obesity could be screened before associated complications gene.

Vitamin D receptor gene polymorphisms in Turkish children with vitamin D deficient rickets.

Vitamin D deficient rickets is prevalent in Turkey and a considerable number of children are at risk of growth retardation, impaired bone formation and fracture. In order to check whether vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphism relates to the vitamin D deficient rickets, we analyzed VDR gene FokI, TaqI and ApaI polymorphisms in 24 Turkish vitamin D deficient rickets patients and 100 healthy ...

Taq1 Polymorphism (rs731236) of Vitamin D Receptor Gene in Children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common childhood cancer. Several studies have shown that ALL occurs as a result of genetic abnormalities. 1, 25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 as a secosteroid hormone plays an important role in different metabolic pathways. The normal function of vitamin D occurs via binding to a ligand-activated transcription factor i.e. vitamin D receptor (VDR)...
